Sabbath with Linda and her family

Linda invited me to her mother's house to celebrate the Sabbath. I teased her saying 'This is the first time a girl brought me home to meet her mother'. I had a lovely time and the food was delicious.

It is not generally customary in an Orthodox home to take pictures on the Sabbath, but I was allowed to capture the moment for my own memory. Enjoy

Linda and the Art Fair

Meet Linda, my connection to the Art World of Joburg. She has also become my connection the Jewish Commuity, even inviting home to meet her mother. Actually she invited me to spend Erev Shabbat (Sabbath evening) this Friday with her friends and family. What a blessing!

There was so much to see and so many people that I could not get many photos that would work for the BLOG. But trust me I had a great time. And it was nice to see Linda again.

Mpumalanga

I took a venture into Mpumalanga which is reported to be one of the most beautiful parts of Africa. The name "Mpumalanga" means "where the sun rises" in a number of the various African languages spoken in this region.

The weather didn't work in my favor but still it was great to make the trip and see the area.
